A powerful X-ray flare (class: X3.4) occured during 02:14-02:57 UT on December 13. It was located in active region NOAA 10930 (S06° E23°). The flare was accompanied by a coronal mass ejection (CME) which started at 02:54 km/s.

Another intense X-ray flare (class: X1.5) appeared at 21:07 UT on December 14 and it located in the same region than the flare one day earlier. A halo CME was observed at 22:30 UT.
