Event of 2004 November 3

 
Two fast coronal mass ejections (CMEs) occurred during the day. The first one started at 03:54 UT and it was a partial halo CME. The second CME was a halo and started at 16:06 UT. At least four different class M X-ray flares were observed that day. The most powerful X-ray flare (M5.0) reached its maximum flux at 15:47 UT. It was located in active region NOAA 10696 (N11° E40°).
