A very fast halo coronal mass ejection (CME) was observed at 09:30 UT on November 2. Its speed was 2036 km/s. Another very fast CME (speed: 2598 km/s) occurred at 17:30 UT on the same day and it was associated with class X8.3 X-ray flare. The flare started at 17:03 and ended at 17:39 UT. It was located in active region NOAA 10488 (N10° W56°).

The third fast CME was measured at 10:06 UT on November 3 and it was accompanied by class X3.9 X-ray flare. There also was another class X X-ray flare during the day.
